FBC #12 – Strategy, Planning (Spine) [1 page]
An Executive Concern: Business Owners and Executives
Strategies are action plans.
They are commitments to produce an outcome, which is usually called a “strategic objective”,
… by executing a sequence of tactics
… to produce a sequence of situations (threats, obligations and opportunities)
… that progress until the strategy’s objective is produced.
Designing and executing them strategically and competitively as computers, the internet and Networks of Capabilities now makes possible,
… increases businesspeople’s and business’ competitive capabilities so much
… they have changed the competitive dynamics of the marketplace throughout the world.
Computers and the internet are tools that businesspeople, and entire businesses, can use to design and execute complex action plans that they can adjust as competitive situations and/or their knowledge changes.
This was not physically or linguistically possible before IR#4 when businesspeople used single-purpose tools.
This means the ideas, concepts, intentions, commitments and practices to design and execute strategies as can be done with computers and the internet
… does not exist in IR#3’s business philosophy, knowledge and skills.
Since strategies, or action plans, are much, much more powerful than completing tasks, or working with task orientation, to produce competitive capabilities and advantages, and to increase productivity, value and incomes,
… every businessperson and business needs to pivot their business philosophy and knowledge towards “Aji’s” strategic and competitive knowledge to increase those capabilities.
Strategy is “financial” because planning to increase one’s productivity, value and income by using “Aji” enables businesspeople to double their incomes.
It’s “strategic” because it’s all about designing, crafting, speaking about, executing and producing satisfaction with action plans.
It’s “competitive” because designing a strategy enables businesspeople to increase their competitive capabilities and advantages very, very quickly.
