An Operational Concern: Presidents, Vice Presidents, Managers

Distribution is the name for any thought, commitment or action whose intention is to move offers, practices, narratives and strategies  — including all goods and services —  from where they are manufactured to where they are bought or used,

… or to fulfill the promise of a transaction, or contract.

In IR#4, businesspeople design, craft, speak about, fulfill and produce satisfaction with distribution using computers and the internet.  This speeds it up, makes it more complex, strategic and competitive, and as we can all see increases its competitive importance.

As technology evolves, politics and demographics changes, and economies shift distribution changes throughout the day, too.  That is the:

Threats to distribution

Obligations distributors must fulfill

Opportunities distributors must exploit

… are always under financial and competitive pressures to become more productive and valuable.

Distribution is “financial” because it is used in a literal way to “make money”.

“Money” in “Aji” is the help people and business offer in the form of offers, practices, narratives and strategies, which includes goods and services, that other people and businesses want badly enough to pay for.

It is “strategic” because it increases businesspeople’s and businesses capabilities to execute, improve and design fresh, new strategies.

It is “competitive” because superior distribution enables businesspeople and businesses to increase their competitive capabilities and advantages.
