The 14 Permanent Domains of Concern for Marriage
Part One
To be “married” is to think and act effectively, strategically and competitively with our spouse for the sake of taking satisfactory care of the 14 fundamental concerns that underlie marriage as a domain of action.
Note:
Married couples “compete” with every other married couple to accept offers in the marketplace they need to take care of their most fundamental human and married concerns throughout their marriage, whether they know it, or like it, or not.
These goods and services include homes, cars, medical care, good food, children’s education, work and career, and annual incomes, which always go to the highest bidders, or they aren’t any good.
Consequently, spouses, with the help of other couples who share their ambitions and knowledge, and of many other professionals in a variety of networks and discourses, such as accounting, investing and raising children,
… need to think and act effectively, strategically and competitively enough, together,
… to fulfill their intentions to live a good life throughout their entire life, including 20-30 years of old age, or until they are 90 years old.
